What is Nualgi? |

Nualgi contains micronutrients required by Diatom Algae in nano size. (20 nano meters to 150 nano meters) It contains Si, Fe, Mn, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, B, S, Mo |
How does it work? |
Nualgi causes a bloom of Diatom Algae in any type of water
- Freshwater or saline water
- Water has most of the nutrients required by Diatom Algae to grow but lack micronutrients and silica
Nualgi provides these micro nutrients and silica. |
Why Diatom Algae? |
Diatoms have a silica shell / exoskeleton , unlike other algae such as Green Algae and Blue Green Algae which have cellulose cell wall.
Diatoms are consumed by zooplankton and these by fish, unlike Green and Blue Green Algae which die in the water and decompose and thereby release CO2 back into the atmosphere when they decompose.
The Silica shells of the Diatoms do not decompose, millions of tons of fossilized Diatomaceous Earth from various points of time is available all over Earth and is used in many products like toothpaste, water filters, pet food, as a pesticide in granaries, cosmetics, Dynamite, etc. |

MethaneWhen any organic matter in water decomposes in anaerobic conditions Methane is emitted – in Biogas Gas Plants, Anaerobic process Sewage Treatment Plants, Septic Tanks, polluted lakes, etc.
Diatoms increase the Dissolved Oxygen level of water and thereby convert Anaerobic conditions to Aerobic conditions. This reduces Methane emissions. |
